Making Good Men Better

Since 1910

Why Hidalgo Lodge?

Established in 1910, Hidalgo Lodge has always remained strong throughout its rich history in Edinburg Texas, the Rio Grande Valley area and the surrounding areas of Mexico and it continues to thrive today by always thinking ahead, each step of the way. Openmindedness, creativity, love, respect, hospitality, laughter, and so much more echo through its walls, and it continues to bless its members, visitors, and community.

Brotherly Love.

As the first core principle of masonry, brotherly love is at the heart of Hidalgo Lodge’s culture. Our goal is to practice it throughout our dealings with each other and carry it to the rest of the world, through compassion, tolerance, kindness, integrity, courtesy, and fairness.

Charity & Relief.

With relief being its’s second core principle, masonry encourages us to help fill the needs of those in our community through different initiatives and charities, while always ensuring that there is always a helping hand for a brother or family member in distress.

Truth & Integrity.

As its third core principle, Masonry teaches us to strive for truth, both in our view of ourselves and in our dealings with others. It also requires high moral standards and its members are highly encouraged to uphold these principles in their public and private lives.

Diversity.

Whether it’s been the amazing food selection at our table (35+ nationalities), richer conversations from well-traveled brothers, innovation and creativity from our younger brothers, or wisdom from our more experienced pillars. Diversity has certainly become one of the keys to our success and we welcome it wholeheartedly at our lodge.

Education.

Following Freemasonry’s objective of “making good men better”, our mission is to ensure that each of our members acquires the tools and skills they need to grow as individuals so that they can be of greater service to God, their family, each other, their community, and even themselves.

Team Work.

Whether it’s hosting one of our charity fun run events of over 500 guests or renovating our entire building after a storm, our brothers are there to get it done. Aside from having the time of our lives, we get to see the power of God’s hand when brothers work together in unity through each challenge and every success that seemed impossible to achieve at times.
